This is a video of my graduation project (Design a Control System for a Treadmill) first run test, check it out in HD on Youtube

The main idea of this project is to design a hardware and software control system to controlling a motorized machine handling with a variable load on a conveyor using a programmable PID controller, in addition of some controlling features like tuning the controller constants through the machine panel it self, and reading many measurements from digital and analog sensors for closed - loop control System.

Bio.

Zaid Naser Al-Deen was born in Amman on the  11th of November 1988, he was completed his primary study in a local private school for the period 1993–2004, then completed his high school in 2006 from Al-Hussein College high school with percentage average 81.3 in scientific branch. Then he was admitted by the Hashemite University of Jordan to study the Mechatronics Engineering, he got his bachelor degree in August 2010 with rate of Good (2.88 out of 4.00).

In August 2010, he finish his university training in Royal Jordanian Airlines on electrical and mechanical maintenance of aircraft and supporting equipments and Vehicles.

Zaid is a reliable person and hard worker, he respect time, dating and work schedules. He has special abilities and perspective which he worked hard to develop. thats's why he takes two external courses in HVAC and microcontrollers programing.

He believes that design or drawing software is a key to communicate with others by a trendy way.  That prompted him to learn 3D max studio software which he started back in 2004.  He was able to advance himself to become a professional 3D designer/modeler. Also, he get A+ grade in all drawing courses in the university like AutoCAD and mechanical drawing.

He started  hand drawing since he was a child.  He is considered now an artist   specializing in pencil drawing. He  participated in two drawing contests in school and got the first place in both. The first was in 2001 and the name of the winning palette is "Ayat Rojola", and the second in 2003  and called "Selah Al-Omaal".  He has been involved in  the atelier of the university since 2006.

Zaid career objectives are to improve his practical engineering skills, judgment and work quality. Seeking a senior position in industrial or engineering projects spatially in modern controlling field.

What is Mechatronics Engineering ?

Mechatronics is centered on mechanics, electronics, control engineering, computing, molecular engineering (from nanochemistry and biology) which, combined, make possible the generation of simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems. The portmanteau "Mechatronics" was first coined by Mr. Tetsuro Mori, a senior engineer of the Japanese company Yaskawa, in 1969. Mechatronics may alternatively be referred to as "electromechanical systems" or less often as "control and automation engineering".

Engineering cybernetics deals with the question of control engineering of mechatronic systems. It is used to control or regulate such a system (see control theory). Through collaboration the mechatronic modules perform the production goals and inherit flexible and agile manufacturing properties in the production scheme. Modern production equipment consists of mechatronic modules that are integrated according to a control architecture. The most known architectures involve hierarchy, polyarchy, hetaerachy (often misspelled as heterarchy) and hybrid.

The methods for achieving a technical effect are described by control algorithms, which may or may not utilize formal methods in their design. Hybrid-systems important to Mechatronics include production systems, synergy drives, planetary exploration rovers, automotive subsystems such as anti-lock braking systems, spin-assist and every day equipment such as autofocus cameras, video, hard disks, CD-players, washing machines.

A typical mechatronic engineering degree would involve classes in engineering mathematics, mechanics, machine component design, mechanical design, thermodynamics, circuits and systems, electronics and communications, control theory, programming, digital signal processing, power engineering, robotics and usually a final year thesis
